Each morning I go out to Publix and fetch water, since I am limited to 2 gallons in this new world of corona virus awareness. It makes me think of the indigenous people (women) fetching water in the morning-I guess I assume they fetched it in the morning to use through out the day. Not like they had flashlights to fetch water at night!
As I drive around town and the beaches, I notice myself not feeling rushed and only going 5 over the limit instead of my restrained 9! It feels more calm on the roads, even US19! Tune into the CALM!
With this social distancing I now look forward to going to the store! Just the regular, Walmart and Publix. It is very strange to see empty shelves in Super Walmart. I can still get food, but maybe not the exact thing I really wanted. Just weeks ago I was marveling at the abundance and selection we have here in America (or maybe in my town, I’m sure there were parts of America, pre-corona virus, that did not have food overflowing off their fully stocked shelves.) Road tripping across America I have visited many Walmart locations and they were always fully and amply stocked! Today not only did I think of in times past when fetching water was part of daily life, but also about how I felt like a hunter as I took an empty box to use as a tool, then I climbed the shelf to snag a jar of olives way far back on a high shelf. I am the Olive Hunter!
